October 8, 2006 Dear District Resident: The Pebble Beach Community Services District (PBCSD) has contracted with California Highway Patrol (CHP) to augment vehicle code enforcement in Pebble Beach beginning October 16, 2006. The contract is in response to significant concerns expressed in the December 2005 community Survey on Traffic and Safety Issues in Del Monte Forest and containing feedback to the Del Monte Forest Owners Traffic/Safety/Committee. The CHP contract is financed by existing PCBSD revenue at no additional cost to property owners. In addition to the increased CHP enforcement, PBCSD has purchased four roadside radar display units to provide positive reinforcement to drivers by displaying vehicle speed information. Residents, contractors and visitors should pay particular attention to the posted 25 MPH speed zones in the residential areas. The goal of the additional vehicle code enforcement is to increase community safety for motorists and pedestrians in Pebble Beach. Very Truly yours, |
